Compare your skills with our requirements
We have an open spot on one of our active Healthcare projects — a long-running engagement with a client based in Sweden. You'll be joining an existing team, contributing to a backend built with Django, and working within a regulated, high-reliability environment where precision and care in your code matters.
We're not looking for someone to ramp up slowly. You'll be expected to read the codebase, understand the domain, and deliver from early on. If you have a background in Healthcare software or have worked in regulated industries before, that will make a real difference.
Must-have
- 5+ years of professional backend development, with at least 3 years using Django and Django REST Framework
- Strong Python fundamentals — clean, well-tested, production-ready code
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
- Comfortable working within existing codebases — reading, understanding, and extending without breaking things
- Experience with async task processing (Celery, Redis)
- Familiarity with security-conscious development practices — authentication, authorization, data handling
- Reliable communication and documentation habits — this is a client-facing project
Is a plus
- Prior experience in Healthcare software or other regulated industries (Fintech, Legal, etc.)
- Knowledge of relevant compliance standards (GDPR, HL7, FHIR, or similar)
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams across time zones
- Docker and containerized deployment experience
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure — AWS, GCP, or Azure
What you will do
- Join an active project team and contribute to ongoing backend development
- Build and maintain Django APIs that power critical Healthcare workflows
- Participate in code reviews and uphold high quality standards across the codebase
- Work closely with the existing team to understand context, priorities, and architecture
- Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt as needed
- Communicate progress and blockers clearly — both internally and toward the client
