Mid-Level Backend Engineer (GoLang)

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Backend Developer to join Sportable Technologies Ltd via a full-time team augmentation engagement. You’ll work in a dynamic, cloud-first environment using Golang, PostgreSQL, and modern CI/CD pipelines to help power our sports technology platforms.

Must-have

3+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in Golang (or other strongly typed languages)
Solid experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
Comfortable working with Linux (both cloud and local environments)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP)
Understanding of testing methodologies (TDD/BDD), version control (GIT), and CI/CD practices
Strong team communication skills and a hands-on, can-do approach

Is a plus

Knowledge of network protocols such as HTTP, TCP/UDP, WebSocket
Experience with messaging protocols (e.g., MQTT, AMQP, or other brokers)
Basic understanding of JavaScript/React or Python
Interest in algorithms and mathematical problem-solving

What you will do

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang
Work with PostgreSQL and manage data flow and integrity
Operate and optimize in Linux-based environments (cloud/local)
Collaborate with the team on infrastructure, CI/CD, and testing best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with a team-oriented mindset
Participate in agile ceremonies and ensure high-quality, maintainable code is delivered
